Sarah Mell (they/them) is honored to serve as the Experiential & Community-Based Learning Coordinator for the Rubenstein School. Prior to joining the Student Services team, Sarah spent 7 years providing education and training on the intersections of identities, culture, experiences of power and connection as a member of the UVM Women & Gender Equity Center staff and then within the Office of the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence. They have been faculty for the Community College of Vermont since 2009 where they teach courses in English, Humanities, and the Social Sciences and where they previously advised students, hired and supervised faculty, and coordinated experiential learning in the sciences for CCV St. Albans.
One of their greatest joys is to scamper in the woods and paddle on the waters to discover new relationships with all living beings. When they aren't doing that, Sarah can often be found rehearsing and performing with local theatre companies or reading in a sunbeam with their beloved cats.
