Several new faculty and staff join the Rubenstein School this year. In addition, some familiar faces in the School have changed or added positions. We're excited to welcome and congratulate the following RSENR community members.

Faculty

Tatiana Abatemarco is a Lecturer in the Environmental Program. 

Breck Bowden returns from sabbatical. 

Aimée Classen has been promoted to Professor. 

Tony D’Amato has been promoted to Professor. 

Luben Dimov joined the Rubenstein School this fall as a Senior Lecturer in Forestry. 

Clare Ginger returns from sabbatical and to her position as Director of the Natural Resources Program, replacing Interim Director Aimée Classen

Rick Paradis retired and is now Lecturer Emeritus of Environmental Studies. 

Jen Pontius has been promoted to Research Associate Professor. 

Taylor Ricketts returns from sabbatical. 

Eduardo Rodriguez, a PhD student, is a Part-time Lecturer and First-Year Advisor in the School. 

Amy Seidl returns from sabbatical and to her position as Associate Director of the Environmental Program, replacing Interim Associate Director Brendan Fisher

Allan Strong has been promoted to Professor. 

Jason Stockwell, who returns from sabbatical leave, has been promoted to Professor. 

Patricia Stokowski returns from sabbatical. 

Curt Ventriss retired and is now Professor Emeritus of Public Policy and Natural Resources. 

 

Staff 

Rita Johnson is the Interim Executive Assistant to the Dean replacing Rakhi Bisen who moved to Boston. Rakhi replaced April Berteau who took a new job as a program coordinator in the UVM Department of Biology. 

Nadeje Alexandre is a new Senior Professional Advisor & Service Learning Coordinator in the Rubenstein School. 

Rosalie Bruel is a new Postdoctoral Associate with Ellen Marsden and Jason Stockwell

Kevin Chu is a new Professional Advisor in the Environmental Program. 

Marc Companion is a new Green Infrastructure Outreach Coordinator with Lake Champlain Sea Grant.

Jonathan Doubek is a new Postdoctoral Associate with Jason Stockwell

Ashley Eaton is now the Watershed and Lake Education Coordinator for Lake Champlain Sea Grant and UVM Watershed Alliance. 

Emma Estabrook is a new Research Specialist in the Spatial Analysis Lab. 

Michael Finnegan is a new Programmer with the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative. 

Nelson Grima is a new Postdoctoral Associate with Brendan Fisher

Akilah Ho-Young is a temporary Office Assistant in the Dean’s Office and replaces Jacqueline Boudreau, Receptionist and Assistant to Student Services, who left her position for a new job with Adecco. 

Alexandra Kosiba, a graduate alum of the School, is now a Research Project Coordinator with the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative. 

Kate MacFarland is a new USDA Forest Service Assistant Agroforester in the Forest Service Northern Research Station suite. 

Mim Pendleton retired as a research staff member with the Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative. 

Emma Sass is a new Laboratory Research Technician in Tony D’Amato’s Silviculture and Applied Forest Ecology Lab. 

Rachel Schattman is a new USDA Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Forest Service Northern Research Station suite.
