Dr. Ziller is the director of The University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine Health Services Research Center. Rural and public health as well as health policy have always been at the heart of Dr. Ziller’s work. She earned a master’s degree in health policy & management and a PhD in Public Policy at the University of Southern Maine. Prior to her arrival at the University of Vermont, Dr. Ziller served as Director of the Maine Rural Health Research Center and Chair of public health at Southern Maine University.

Throughout her career, she has received federal funding from the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (HRSA, DHHS) to conduct research on rural health issues. Dr. Ziller has co-authored over forty journal articles and book chapters focusing on rural health topics. Her work has been cited in several New England and national media outlets.
