Dear Larner Community and Friends,

As an educational institution now entering it's third century, the Larner College of Medicine takes immense pride in addressing our world’s most meaningful medical and scientific challenges, through top-tier research and scholarship.

Our researchers in laboratory, clinical, and community settings work to bring a greater understanding of disease and wellness, and new more effective treatments.  We take pride in our rigorous commitment to innovation and groundbreaking research as part of a leading academic health sciences center, anchored alongside our partner, the UVM Medical Center.

While our state-of-the-art facilities are meticulously designed, we strive to continuously enhance every aspect of our research enterprise by taking advantage of all opportunities available. This includes broadening our scope and diversity of research areas, investing in world-class research infrastructure, fostering new partnerships, and attracting and retaining top scientists and scholars. All of this is accomplished while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in ethics and compliance.

The insights and solutions we deliver are complex and are most often found through collaboration. The scale and culture at Larner provide the ideal environment to promote innovative interdisciplinary research—a hallmark of our enterprise and one key to our success.

Research is at the core of everything we do at Larner. We are enormously proud of our research story and invite you to learn more about our ongoing scientific and medical discoveries and their impact.

Sincerely,

Kate Tracy, Ph.D.
