BIO

Dr. Zehle, a 1999 alumna of the Larner College of Medicine, completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Rochester, where she was appointed chief resident for the 2002-2003 academic year. She joined the University of Vermont in 2003 as an assistant professor of pediatrics and was promoted to associate professor in 2011. In 2012, she assumed the role of associate dean for students. 

Dr. Zehle is recognized as a Master Teacher at the Teaching Academy and is a member of both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. Additionally, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), and actively participates in the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Educational Affairs and Student Affairs. Dr. Zehle also serves as the Northeast representative on the AAMC Committee on Student Affairs Working Group on Medical Student Well-being. 

Among her accolades are the 2014 Early Achievement Alumni Award from the UVM Larner Medical Alumni Association and the 2012 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Faculty Award.
