ETS and the VACC offer research computing facilitation services in the following areas:

Technology Use

Knowing what technology is available for use on campus can be challenging so ETS is here to help. Let us know what you're trying to do in your research, and we'll come up with a list of technologies available for you to use.

System Use

If you're new to Linux or other research platforms hosted at UVM, knowing where to start can be difficult. Whether it's a brief introduction to navigating Linux via command line or it's a deep dive into how to run complex jobs on the VACC, we can work with you to make sure you're comfortable with the tools available.

HPC Facilitator

The VACC can provide professional technical support for the effective use of VACC cyberinfrastructure resources.  If you need help getting your research software working at scale on our HPC systems, the HPC Facilitator can help by providing expertise in the VACC, working with Slurm queues, and related HPC technologies.  We can help you learn how to scale your computing to take advantage of our state of the art clusters by providing scientific application expertise and supporting existing and emerging technologies.
