Project Overview

Using a large collection of red spruce (Picea rubens) tree cores, we assessed the relationship between climate, acid deposition, and other environmental data and tree growth.

Objectives

We aimed to characterize red spruce growth region-wide from 1925-2012. We identified the correlations between climate, deposition, and other variables that may impact tree growth. Finally, we modeled growth using the dominant drivers of growth.
