Project Overview
The watershed of the West Branch of the Little River and eight unnamed tributaries was undergoing significant changes with regard to land-use and land-cover, since The Mount Mansfield Company Inc. has began a massive expansion of its facilities. Using four variables: discharge, precipitation, temperature and the depth of the snow pack, seasonal variation and trends will be identified.
Objectives
The objective of this report is to create a pre-development history with regard to the surface hydrology of the Spruce Peak Basin. This history includes seasonal variation and precipitation patterns as they relate to discharge. This history will be used during post-development as a basis for comparison when determining the impact of the development on surface waters leaving the basin.
