  • 2024 Sheep and Goat Day
    9:00am - 4:00pm
    Addison County Fair & Field Days Grounds

    This event is for 4-H members, ages 8-18 as of Jan. 1, 2024. Participants will learn about showing, fitting, and parasites; take part in a quiz bowl competition and have a craft activity all about sheep and goats.

    Please see attached flyer for more information.

    Wear clothes and footwear appropriate for the weather. Bring a water bottle. Lunch will be provided.

  • 4-H at Do Good Fest

    National Life, Montpelier

    Stop by and check out the Washington County 4-H table in the Nonprofit Village at the Do Good Fest. We will be upcycling T-shirts into bags from 1:30pm until we run out of supplies (3:30pm or perhaps a bit longer).
    The Nonprofit Village includes dozens of local organizations (with games, crafts, and raffles), where you can learn about what they do in our community and how you can get involved.

    Once the show has concluded and your area is cleaned and checked, you can head home.

  • Orleans & Essex County 4-H Dairy Show

    Orleans County Fairgrounds

    This show is open to enrolled 4-H youth from Orleans, Essex and Caledonia counties (or by request). The fairgrounds will be open by 6:30 AM for cattle to be checked in and barn set up. The 4-H dairy show starts at 10:00 AM. Please contact Lindy Birch at melinda.birch@uvm.edu<mailto:melinda.birch@uvm.edu> to receive a packet for the show. Entries will be due by July 12. Youth will need to have their dairy record book interview prior to the show day.
