  • Integrated Parasite Management for Sheep & Goat Producers
    12:00pm - 2:00pm
Berlin Extension Classroom, 327 US Rte 302, Berlin

This workshop is for sheep and goat producers of all scales and types (meat/fiber/dairy), both conventional and organic, who are interested in learning about an integrated approach to managing internal parasites. Veterinarian Dr. Amy D. Bartholomew will discuss parasite types and life cycles. She will share best management practices to mitigate the impact of internal parasites on your sheep and goats, and detection and treatment options for both conventional and organic producers.
This workshop is free and light refreshments will be provided. Please register by August 5 at https://go.uvm.edu/sheepgoat
Amy D. Bartholomew, VMD, graduated from Bates College in 1988 and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After an internship and residency in large animal field service, she went into mixed animal practice in central Vermont for several years. In 2000, Amy and her husband Rick started Cold Hollow Veterinary Services, LLC in Enosburg Falls, Vt. In veterinary practice, Amy’s primary focus was small ruminant and camelid medicine, dairy calf and heifer health, organic farm veterinary management, and acupuncture. In 2022, Amy and Rick sold the vet practice and now run Cobble Knoll Orchard, a pick-your-own apple orchard in Benson, Vt.
