Whitney Hull

Whitney Hull with a lot of cowsWhitney joined the Dairy Herd Management Technical Assistance team in 2021 and is part of UVM Extension’s Agriculture Business Program. Whitney provides one-on-one technical assistance to dairy farmers throughout the state. She has expertise in records analysis, dairy nutrition, facilitating farm management teams, and providing recommendations on dairy herd management. Her key area of interest is in helping dairy farmers improve their management techniques to improve economic viability. Whitney earned a dual B.S. in Biology and Animal Science from The Ohio State University in 2008. Following her degree, Whitney worked in the dairy industry both as an A.I. technician and a dairy nutritionist. Whitney is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in Animal Science at UVM. In her free time, Whitney can be found exploring Vermont’s mountains by skis or mountain bike with her husband and two daughters.

Kelsie Meehan

Kelsie Meehan and some goatsKelsie joined the Dairy Herd Management Technical Assistance team in 2021 and is part of UVM Extension’s Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Grazing Program. She holds a BA in Biology from Williams College and has over 10 years of experience working with pasture-based dairies and farmstead creameries. Her experience includes working on and managing farms in the Adirondacks, New Zealand, and Vermont, and owning a cultured butter business. Kelsie lives in Northfield, VT and is excited to work with cow, goat, and sheep dairies across the state.
