Author Talk and Book Signing with Sefakor G.M.A. Komabu-Pomeyie, Ph.D.
UVM Libraries will host an author talk and book signing with Sefakor G.M.A. Komabu-Pomeyie, Ph.D. August 23, 2024, 3 - 4:30 pm. Howe Memorial Library, first floor atrium, UVM, 538 Main street, Burlington, VT 05405.
Acclaimed author and UVM Lecturer, Sefakor will present her book I'm Able: A Woman's Advice for Disability Change Agents to the UVM and Burlington communities.
Named the 6th most influential disabled person in the world in 2016, Sefakor has won many awards for her work as an advocate for underrepresented groups. She is an educator, researcher, and policy analyst that has allowed her personal experiences as a woman of color with a physical disability shape her work and journey.
