Joshua Brown is a science writer, environmental journalist, and photographer whose work has been published in the Boston Globe, US News & World Report, Wild Earth, Conservation, Middlebury Magazine, Land & People, Medill Magazine, Northern Woodlands, Science Daily, the Burlington Free Press, and many other publications.

For five years, Josh worked as senior editor and staff writer for Wild Earth, a national conservation journal. Since 2006, he has been a staff writer at the University of Vermont covering all the natural and physical sciences, astronomy to zoology. He's particularly interested in carnivores, climate change, the natural history of birds and trees, organic agriculture, and extreme endurance sports. His reporting work has taken him from bat caves in Vermont to the ice sheet of Greenland.
