The Green Mountain Job and Retention Program, a collaboration between the State of Vermont, UVM, and the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), is designed to incentivize and retain graduates from Vermont-based colleges and universities by repaying some of their student loan debt.

When you click the ‘Apply' button, you will be brought to VSAC’s myVSAC home page. myVSAC is the online account system you will use to apply for and access information about the Green Mountain Job & Retention Program.

• On the myVSAC home page, enter your existing myVSAC username and password and click the 'Login' button.
• If you are a first-time user and do not have an existing myVSAC username, click on 'Register Now'.
• Once you have logged in, or registered for myVSAC, you will automatically be directed to the online Green Mountain Job & Retention Program application.

 

Who can apply?

  • Any student who graduated from December 2023 to June 2024 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a Vermont college or university, who plans on living and working full-time in Vermont for two years following graduation.

How does it work?

  • Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis for as long as funding is available.

Eligible Graduates
