Things I learned while in Boulder:

Don't decide what you'll wear for the day based on what your advisor wears.

Don't try to cross Middle Boulder Creek in bare feet.

Don't go bouldering on weathered quartz vein.

Don't try to use an electric rock drill on granite... or any rock, for that matter.

Don't underestimate the weight of rocks when you have to climb uphill a mile to get back to the car.

Don't doubt your advisor.
