BIO

Dr. Jeremy Sibold is an associate professor in the Rehabilitation and Movement Science Department, where he teaches courses to both doctoral students in physical therapy and undergraduate students in exercise and movement science. He is a nationally certified athletic trainer (ATC) who has worked in clinical and academic settings and is a board-certified health coach. He has been a clinical outreach athletic trainer and collegiate head football athletic trainer. He has also served as athletic training program director and department chair for exercise science at previous institutions.

His research interests include the relationship(s) between exercise and mental health and predicting musculoskeletal injury using psychosocial variables. Specifically, Dr. Sibold is looking to define further the relationship between exercise and psychological constructs, including mood, anxiety, self-efficacy and learning. He strongly feels that exercise is an underused treatment adjunct in healthy and clinical populations.
