BIO

Dr. Wengrovius’ research examines the effects of mind-body practices such as yoga for promoting physical, mental, and social health. She is particularly interested in advancing our understanding of interoception's role in developing healthy lifestyle behaviors such as sleep, physical activity, and self-regulation. Her work aims to create effective, easily disseminated programs that promote healthy lifestyle behaviors in school, community, and healthcare settings. 

Dr. Wengrovius has worked clinically as a pediatric physical therapist in land- and aquatic-based settings, including early intervention, school, and private practice. She is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and has taught children’s yoga for over ten years.
