BIO

Dr. Jennifer Laurent is a Holly D. and Robert E. Miller Green and Gold Professor of Nursing Research. She is Vice-Chair of Nursing and Program Director for Nursing Graduate Programs. She is board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in primary care with a particular focus in chronic disease management. Her area of research investigates brain and behavioral mechanisms that contribute to weight gain and obesity in youth. In addition to her research and teaching, Dr. Laurent was appointed to the Vermont Board of Nursing and serves as Chair as well as the Board of Nursing representative to the APRN sub-committee.
