Early Childhood Professional Development Director

Meg Baker has extensive experience as an early childhood educator and special educator working in community and school-based settings across Vermont. She was involved in the initial development of statewide systems including Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS), Children's Integrated Services (CIS), STARS, and Building Bright Futures.

Most recently, she spent eight years as the Universal PreK Coordinator for the three school districts in Addison County.

Meg is excited to move into the new role of Early Childhood Professional Development Director to embed and deepen Early MTSS and the Pyramid Model within systems and programs across Vermont. She holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Leadership from Champlain College, in addition to a post-graduate certificate in Special Education through the University of Virginia.

She lives in Middlebury and enjoys reading, genealogy, and hiking with her family.
