BIO

Chris Dissinger joined the Strategic Communications Academic and Administrative Communications team as Strategic Communications Manager of the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences in September 2023.

He joined the college from the Fleming Museum of Art where since 2018 he served as the assistant director overseeing communications, operations, and visitor engagement. In addition, he was responsible for all the graphic design, branding, and photography for the Museum. Prior to this role, he served as the Museum’s marketing and public relations manager for several years. 

Before joining the Museum, He was the publisher and editor of two daily newspapers headquartered in Los Alamos, New Mexico. While in Los Alamos, he served as president for both the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Alamos Economic Development Corporation. Chris holds a degree in journalism and history from Towson University.

When not at UVM, he currently chairs the PechaKucha Night Burlington board and volunteers for a variety of non-profits near his home that he shares with his wife and daughter in Underhill.

Bio
