In 2015, Elizabeth seized an opportunity to return to the RIHPHC and was hired as the Senior Architectural Historian. Among many other activities, her work involves evaluating potentially significant buildings, sites, structures, and landscapes throughout Rhode Island and writing National Register of Historic Places nominations. Rochefort rates her UVM experience as life changing for personal and professional reasons. “Without a doubt, my time there jump-started my career. I have many happy memories at UVM—I got married in May and had almost my entire preservation class from UVM in attendance, including one of my bridesmaids. Thanks to UVM, I’ve been able to take all of the things that I’m passionate about and mold them into a career.”
