Library Associate Professor, Information & Instruction Howe Library

Laurie Kutner is a Library Associate Professor at the University of Vermont who is integrated into the Environmental Program, working closely with Environmental Studies students and faculty to support their research, curricular, and information needs.  She is also the library liaison to the Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources, Anthropology Department, Geography Department, and Global and Regional Studies Program.

As a specialist in environmental information, Professor Kutner focuses on the inherently interdisciplinary nature of environmental research.  She is interested in disparities in information access on a global scale, and works in Monteverde, Costa Rica, building digital collections and providing access to research-based materials generated there.

Professor Kutner works with graduate students in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, to support their research and information needs, as they progress through their graduate programs and in-depth thesis/dissertation research
