English Graduate Student Association (EGSA)

• The English Graduate Student Association (EGSA) is a graduate student group sponsored by the Graduate Student Senate for the overall enrichment of student life in the English department. Its aim is to provide resources, information, advocacy, and programming that foster professional development opportunities and a sense of community. Recent events include faculty panels on Ph.D. applications, how to apply to and attend academic conferences, research strategies, and publishing in academia. In February 2020, EGSA held its first annual English Graduate Student Symposium featuring three panels on the theme “Undisciplining, Unstructuring, and Unsettling the Canon.”
