BIO
Jessica Penny Evans received her PhD from Trinity College Dublin where she wrote her dissertation on the Discourse of political freedom in Greek historiography. She teaches Latin and Greek language courses at all levels, as well as courses in history, gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, and occasionally conversational Latin. She is currently working on a project that explores masculinity in Thucydides. Penny is the director of the Liberal Arts in Prison Program.
