BIO

Rachel has a BS in Biology from Messiah College and a PhD in Neuroscience from Uniformed Services University, where she worked with a mouse model to study the effects of cannabinoids in protecting against oligodendrocyte cell death seen in Multiple Sclerosis. She also has a 7-12 science teaching certification in the state of Vermont and has been an academic tutor for 10+ years.

Rachel absolutely loves working with students helping them discover the amazing world of science! More specifically, she enjoys reading and talking about topics that relate to molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, and neuroscience. She also enjoys working with students to improve their organizational and study skills.
