"This photo, though not of me, represents my summer's work. I was lucky enough to be tasked with analyzing videos of bats around wind turbines and using algorithms to track their movements, helping us understand why bats are at risk near these turbines. Our work isn't just about data; it's about addressing a real issue. Wind turbines, while great for clean energy, unintentionally harm bats. The data we collected will assist wildlife experts in finding ways to protect these creatures in the presence of renewable energy sources. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this intersection between technology and nature. My days were filled with purpose as I contributed to a cause that safeguards biodiversity in the age of renewable energy."
