Kat Collins Headshot

Having experienced many disappointments early in her career, Kat is passionate about helping students build life skills that will prepare them to overcome professional and life challenges. She was born in the Philippines but completed her K-12 education in the United States. Kat takes her experience as a first generation immigrant to create a welcoming and accepting environment for all students. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Norwich University and a master's degree in School Counseling from Johnson State College. Kat has worked in higher education for ten years in admissions, leadership development, and career services as a coach. She believes the best way to connect to students is to make an effort to learn and participate in what students care about in the present. Building and nurturing relationships is important to Kat and looks forward to meeting students in the classroom.

Kat is an experienced knitter and loves to make her own sweaters and cardigans. Music lover of all genres. A sourdough baker and a hobby photographer. She also enjoys reading, road trips, puzzle/adventure video and board games, and spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs, Io and Iv.
