Gus' Artwork and Stories
[Fergus and Norah World]
[The Back Hallway]
- November, 2006: Fergus's "Squig and Slite," a 21-page tale of a boy and his sled.
- Spring 2006: Fergus's "Book of Scary Stuff".
- October 2005: "Me
in a Submarine," by Gus Ryan.
Pictures by Fergus.
Notes: One day he did the title page for this story, and I thought it
was neat that he was writing title pages for himself. A day
later, he
suddenly sat down and created the rest of this book (as
he called it),
as if he meant it to be a complete book all along (and I guess maybe he
did).
- October, 2005: Letter
to Rob
("Dear Rob, Will you come to my party? I hope you will wear a
robe. But the ground is covered in white so I decided to have
the party inside.") (He also recently typed me a letter that
said, "Deer Rob, You Will go in to the basement. You will get electric
blankets. From gus.")
- September,
2005: Picture
of Rob with Shield and Ax. I
found this lying around the house.
- July, 2005: "Darth
Basement Breaks
the World into Pieces" (artwork
and story)
Notes: Gus just recently invented this "Darth Basement"
character. He hasn't seen Star Wars yet, but he's seen
pictures of Darth Vader at the grocery store, etc. The
circles are stars. He dictated the story to me (that's my
handwriting, not his). "Whinely" is pronounced "Whine-a-ly".
- January, 2005: Drawing
of Rob and Fergus (Gus is the
tall one)
