From April 15^th to the 18^th I attended Power Shift with 10,000 other students from across the nation.

Power Shift 2011 was the third national youth summit on climate change and includes motivational speakers,

workshops, and panels. Together we took a stand against big polluters and demanded for a clean energy future.

For my internship I was a Power Shift coordinator. My responsibility was to organize a campaign for Power Shift at the

University of Vermont. This included everything from distributing petitions, registering students, hosting weekly meetings,

and contacting businesses for donations. I also was responsible for figuring out logistics regarding transportation, housing,

and food. The University of Vermont had 70 registrants travel to Washington DC for conference!
