Northeast Wind internship description

My internship with Northeast Wind this spring 2011 was basically a supervised research project. I spent time both in the office as well as on my own researching wind related media in Vermont, analyzing it, and drawing conclusions. The goal of my project was to determine which media sources are producing biased or slanted views of wind energy events in Vermont and to pay attention to the public’s responses to these media. In addition to my research project, I attended a brainstorming meeting in Montpelier with several representatives from various alternative energy companies in Vermont. The meeting was organized and conducted by Bernie Saunders. I also went to the Searsburg wind farm and to help give a tour. Attending the meeting, touring Searsburg, and spending time in the office at Northeast Wind in Waterbury Center, Vermont proved to be a very valuable experience for me.
