I worked with Allan Bullis, a local energy auditor, and ten other classmates to start a group called Common Sense Energy. Our goal was to promote and learn about energy conservation and efficiency within the home. Our group did an array of activities and went to various meetings. With Allan, we went to homes in Vermont and performed energy audits. This entailed using a thermal imaging camera to see where there was heat loss in the home. We also performed a blower door test that allowed us to see where air was flowing out of the house. A group of us even performed a energy audit and renovations at Professor Flomenhofts home. Another aspect to the internship, was working on campus to promote our groupÕs mission. Every Tuesday afternoon, we set up a table and handed out flyers about Common Sense Energy.
