Israel is known to have some 100 to 200 nuclear weapons.  Their official statement is that "Israel will not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons into the Middle East."  But what does this mean?  Israel is the only country in the Middle East with nuclear weapons, and having these weapons is provocative to the other countries in the region.
