DETERRENCE/DETERRENCE WORKS

DETERRENCE STOPS BALLISTIC MISSILE ATTACKS

BALLISTIC MISSILES WILL NOT BE USED IN AN ATTACK BECAUSE WE CAN TRACE WHERE THEY COME FROM

Ballistic missiles are the least likely method a developing country would use to deliver an attack.

Long-range missiles are more expensive and technically difficult to build and deploy than other means of delivery, and are less accurate. Moreover, the U.S. could easily pinpoint the origin of such an attack, and retaliate with devastating force.

NO NATION WOULD ATTACK THE USA WITH A BALLISTIC MISSILE BECAUSE IT WOULD BE COMMITTING SUICIDE IN THE PROCESS

The truth is, any government that launched a nuclear missile at the United States would be committing suicide for itself and its people, because the United States would respond accordingly with its own, much-larger nuclear arsenal. As defense experts point out, it would be much easier for rogue nations to attack the United States by sneaking a nuclear warhead into a U.S. harbor, because the source of such an attack could not easily be traced. Unfortunately, that is an argument based on logic, and logic apparently has little place in this debate.
