What still stands from between 1869 and 1877 in Burlington, Vermont?
The structure is a south facing two-story, gable front three bays wide with an offset front entrance, and a west facade side porch three bays wide. It appears much as it did in 1877 [1] with wooden clapboard siding and corner boards, but there were additions to the rear of the building. The addition is one-story with a shed roof, not clearly visible from the road.
The house was included in the National Register nomination as building #27. The building was dated c. 1889 and known as the DeVarennes House [2] , the owners of the shop next door during the period of significance. The Colompos family resided here when they owned the shop next door [3] .
