This is a large, gable front home. It has a large porch across the west side and an ell at the rear of the building. P. McGrath is the name that appears on the 1890 C.M. Hopkins, CE map of Burlington. However, the Burlington City Directory says that a P. McGrath lived at 40 Front Street. From the late 1880s to the early 1900s W.H. Fuller and his family lived at this address. Fuller was employed by the E.A. Pope & Co lumber company.
