MARRIED Caleb Carr, 21 February 1833 in Rochester, VT.  The son of William Carr and Elizabeth Pierce, he was born 14 November 1813 in Clarendon, VT, and died 05 May 1868 in Brandon, VT.
CHILDREN

1.       Warner Cory Carr, b. 10 June 1835, d. 28 October 1835.

2.       Edwin George Carr, b. 09 October 1836, m. Melva A. Jones, 23 November 1858.  Enlisted 14 August 1862 as a corporal, mustered 04 October 1862 into Company G, 12th Vermont Infantry, mustered out 14 July 1863 at Brattleboro, Vermont. 

3.       Carlos Wellington Carr, b. 20 July 1838, d. 11 September 1914, m. Sarah A. Goodenough, 26 March 1860.  Enlisted 05 May 1864 as a Sergeant, mustered June 11, 1864 into Company E, 4th Vermont Infantry, discharged 06 May 1865.  Taken prisoner of war 23 June 1864 at Weldon Railroad, paroled 01 March 1865.  Died 11 September 1914.  Buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Brandon, Rutland County, Vermont.  

4.       Susan Greenman Carr, b. 06 July 1840, m. Jason K. Campbell.

5.       Rial Fayette Carr, b. 03 November 1845, d. 13 November 1864 in Winchester, Virginia. Enlisted 23 August 1864 as a private in Company H, 11th Vermont Infantry (1st Vermont Heavy Artillery).  Wounded at the battle of Cedar Creek 19 October 1864.  Died of wounds the following month.  Buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Brandon, Rutland County, Vermont.

FEDERAL CENSUS RECORDS 1840 Brandon, Rutland County, VT.  The Caleb Carr household consists of one male between the ages of 20-30 (Caleb), two males under five (Edwin and Carlos), one female 20-30 (Caleb), and one female under five (Susan).
1850 Rochester, Windsor County, VT (dwelling 121).  Their children are listed as:  Edwin G. (13), Carlos W. (10), Susan G. (12), and Rial F. (5).
1860 Brandon, Rutland County, VT.  Caleb and Almina Carr are living with their children:  Edwin (22), Carlos W. (21), Sarah H. (19), Susan G. (19), Rial F. (14), Charles W. (18).
1870 Brandon, Rutland County, VT.  Almina Carr (56) is widowed and living near her children.

1900 Brandon, Rutland County, VT.  Son Edwin G. Carr is living with his wife Mary L.  He worked as a “carpenter and slater.”  Son Carlos W. Carr is living in Brandon with his wife Sarah Y., their daughter Lulu J. Miller (divorced), their granddaughter Doris C. Miller, age 12, and their son Bernice A.  Son Warner C. Carr is living with his wife Laura E., and daughter Harriet E. Jones, b. April 1878.  He worked as a “carpenter and builder.”  Daughter Susan G. Campbell (59) is living with several boarders:  Cary Kinsman (b. 1810), Loyal R. Brown, (b. 1830), and Sabra E. Towle (b. 1831).  Susan had given birth to one child, but none then living.  She owns her own home free of mortgage.
