MARRIED Horace Wright Brink.  Likely the son of William Brink and Naoma Wilkins (1780-1860), he was born 23 March 1805, and died 17 June 1887 in Stockbridge, VT of a supposed suicide.

3.      Washington Perry Brink, b. 22 October 1830, d. 23 July 1874, Chicago, IL, m. Fidelia S. Holland, 20 January 1853.  He was the founder of “Brink’s Family Express,” a package delivery company in Chicago that today is famous for its armored cars.  Children:   Arthur Perry Brink, b. about 1856, Lucy F. Brink, born about 1857, Frank H. Brink, b. 1863, d. 1864.

4.       Almira Brink, b. about 1834.

5.       Daughter, b. between 1835-1840.

6.       Merritt A. Brink, b. 23 January 1841, d. 1910.

7.       Adeline R. Brink, b. 09 May 1843, d. 1905, m. Elbert M. Rogers.

8.       Horace A. Brink, b. 20 November 1845, d. 1920.  After lying about his age, Horace enlisted at the age of 15 as a private in Company E of the 4th Vermont Infantry.  He applied for an invalid’s pension from the state of Illinois in 1890.  His wife, Mary, applied for a widow’s pension in 1920.

1870 Bethel, Windsor County, VT (dwelling 14).  Horace Brink (78) is living with his son Merritt (26), and his son’s wife Ellen (22) and daughter (10 months).
1880 Stockbridge (Gaysville), Windsor County, VT.  Horace Brink (75) is enumerated in the household of his daughter Adaline Rogers (37), and her children Kate Eulora (16), Anne A. (7), and Fred E. (2).
