Charlie

Charlie grew up in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2004. UVM means a great deal to him; he made a lot of friends there and met Sarah. UVM also instilled in him a particular love of experimental writing, film studies, and the cultures of China and Japan. Since graduating, he has gone back to work at UVM in the Department of Surgery. He has also worked on a career as a writer, and took the first steps toward that with the publication of two novels.
Shadowslayers and Reality Check.

How we met:
Charlie and Sarah met in the fall of 2000 at the Simpson Dining Hall at UVM. Sarah was instantly smitten and Charlie thought that she was really cute. They spent a year getting to know each other as friends before they started dating on September 4, 2001.

How we got engaged:
On their 5th dating anniversary (September 4, 2006), Charlie and Sarah spent the day at the Champlain Valley Fair.  While there Charlie spent the entire day hiding the ring from Sarah who almost figured it out numerous times thoughout the day. However, Charlie was quite tricky. After the fair they took a walk at UVM at the place where their relationship as a couple began. While there Charlie got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him. Although Sarah doesn't remember saying yes (she was too happy), Charlie insists that she did take the time to say yes.

Our Wedding:
Our wedding went off perfectly on August 2nd, 2008. Sarah got the remark that she was the calmest bride ever, and Charlie, himself, wasn't nervous...well, until he saw Sarah walking down the aisle.  Charlie and Sarah would like to thank everyone who has supported them and they hope everyone had a great time at the wedding!
