Mt. Mansfield Map

The northern Vermont site at Mount Mansfield was formally designated for VMC use by the Commissioner of the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation in 1993. State Land within the headwaters of the Browns River, Stevensville Brook and Ranch Brook are designated for long-term monitoring and research by the VMC.

The summit of the mountain is owned and operated by the UVM Environmental Studies Program, and is also available for research.

The UVM Proctor Maple Research Center lies at the base of the west slope of the mountain, and hosts many ongoing monitoring projects.
