Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is dedicated to delivering the university's highest-quality central IT infrastructure and support. Our teams are ready to help meet the IT needs of students, faculty, staff, and departments.

Main Description

Comprised of five departments, ETS strengthens the mission of the university through key IT systems and support groups. We maintain our network and telecommunications systems, classroom technology, research computing, and data centers. We provide desktop and portable computer support, enterprise applications such as Banner, Brightspace, and PeopleSoft, and campus-wide information security.

Help and Support

Client Services offers no-cost IT support to all current UVM students and employees, certified repair services on campus for Apple and Dell computers in and out of warranty, and pre-purchase consulting to University departments and affiliates.

Classroom Technology

Classroom Technology Services installs and maintains the presentation equipment in the general-purpose classrooms, provides one-on-one training sessions on how to use it, and responds to classroom technology support requests.

Policies, Identity, and Security

The Information Security Office sets IT policies and provides information security and identity and account management services for the university.

Infrastructure

Systems Architecture and Administration is responsible for maintaining UVM's data infrastructure. This includes email and collaborative services, servers, and data centers.

Enterprise Applications

Enterprise Application Services and Database Administration develops and supports administrative software and business information systems, such as those used by the Registrar, Human Resources, and Student Financial Services offices.
