Heimo Wallner’s work oscillates between drawing / animation and sculpture, albeit the drawing / animation part became dominant in the last decade. He curates an artist's residence in the Austrian Alps and enjoys working with and sometimes for other artists - he had the pleasure to print editions for several extraordinary artists. His own work has been exhibited internationally in high and low brow places (which does not necessarily reflect the importance of these places), and he was lucky to have been invited to some amazing international artist residencies over the years (the Kohler Arts/Industry program WI, the LeRoy Neiman Print Center at Columbia University NYC, Gallery o’ in Milan, Abiko International Open Air Exhibition in Japan to name a few). Besides UVM, Heimo has taught at UTSA San Antonio, Middlebury College. Education: Magister Artis, Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, Austria.
