A friendly stag beetle on Meredith's arm.

"Pictured here is a curious stag beetle I met while working at summer camp. When this photo was taken, I was working alongside my fellow staff to clean up the property before campers arrived. I distinctly remember my stomach turning all day as I had just been promoted to Unit Leader and was itching to meet my campers. While cleaning camp, I was tasked with the dreaded “back units”; a collection of canvas tents supposedly infested with creepy crawlies. In my efforts to beautify the back units, I discovered a zoo. This stag beetle was only the beginning. On this day, I found ticks on my legs, a spider the size of my head in a tent, and a whole family of mice that swarmed at my feet upon disturbing their peaceful home. The beetle, though, was friendly."
