"After hauling lumber to LaPlatte River Marsh Natural Area for trail work 2 weeks prior, my supervisor and I returned with some TNC volunteers to find snakes had taken up residence! The marsh and visitors will benefit from the new pieces of elevated boardwalk (a.k.a. puncheon), and the snakes will begrudgingly benefit in the long term as well."
