Expectations of students who are
Tutoring for AGRI 85

1. Meet with your student(s) for at least one hour per week during each week of the semester. Talk to your student(s) and figure out what time during the week you can both meet. Decide on where you will meet. I suggest you meet in a computer lab where you can sit side-by-side. That way you can demonstrate how to do the assignment on your machine and they will complete the work on their machine. Answer any questions that you can answer and help them complete the assigned homework. Have your students press all keys and mouse choices.

2. Record the date, time, place of each of your tutoring sessions on paper (see example attached). Make a photocopy of the paper for your own records and hand the original paper in to Jonathan Leonard during class. Have your students sign the paper as well as yourself.

3. As a tutor, you will receive extra credit (up to +20% added on to your final grade) in AGRI 85. The actual number of percentage points earned will be determined by how successful you are at meeting every week, turning in your records of tutoring sessions, writing a 3-5 page reflection paper, and the outcome of an interview between Jonathan Leonard and your students at the end of the semester.
