These three pictures show the intersection of Main Street and University Place looking southeast before and after a 1933-1934 street resurfacing and widening project. The photograph on the left was taken almost a decade before the project; the middle image was captured just prior; and the right hand phtot shows the completed project. In the later two images, one can see that the house at 565 Main has been built southeast of the Burlington Reservoir, unlike in the photograph on the left, which was pubilshed in the city's Annual Report in 1925.
