216 Park Street

216 Park Street is a simple two-story vernacular house with an interesting front porch that includes a triangular pediment on its shed roof that resembles the pitch of the houseÕs roofline.

216 Park Street first appears in the Burlington City Directory of 1884-1885 and its owner was listed as Patrick Doyle.  The house changed ownership by 1890 with J.E. Morgan as the new owner, and it changed ownership once again by 1901 with Abraham Marcus, a peddler, listed as the owner.[1]  The house has been occupied by a variety of residents throughout its history.
